Routeways Project Ends

The Routeways to Employment for Disabled People (REDP) project has been run successfully by Greenbank with 11 partners – Alt Valley Community Trust, Daisy UK, ELECT, Liverpool ADHD Foundation, Mencap Liverpool, Merseyside Welfare Rights, Merseyside Society for Deaf People, Moving on With Life and Learning, Network Employment Merseycare NHS Trust, Neurosupport and The Independence Initiative since September 2008.

Comments from participants* include:

“Routeways has supported me in many ways to find a job. It gave me the chance to learn how to fill in application forms and read person specifications”

“The programme has helped me to develop my confidence and skills”.

Thanks to Greenbank staff Lisa Turner, Shirley Spofforth, Trevor Wright, Dave Swinden, Jane Bentley and Tommy Waddell.

REDP has delivered the following outcomes:

  • 501 people supported (404 in Liverpool and 97 in Knowsley)
  • 150 people into employment
  • 100 people into employment lasting 13 weeks or more 215 work placements completed
  • and the support of 185 employers.
